Community

For years, I've been involved in a number of Community Service-type activities. From teaching as an American Red Cross Instructor Trainer to helping build homes for Habitat for Humanity, I constantly like to find time to benefit my local, regional or national community (yes, I know that sounds really cheezy, but it's true).

When I moved to Raleigh, I went looking for a way to volunteer and finally found the Raleigh Jaycees, which is a group of 400+ civic minded people ranging in ages from twenty-one to thirty-nine. We run hundreds of projects during the year with money and time going towards organizations such as the NC Jaycee Burn Center, the Duke Cancer Center, Heritage Park and HOBY.

Most recently, I have been involved with PetTrek, the JC Store (a place for JC's to buy logo'd gear) and the Haunted House. In fact, we're in the middle of building the Haunted House at this very moment which, for 2002, is going to be at the Crown Isuzu dealership on the corner of 440 and Capital Blvd. It will be open from October 17th until November 1st.
